License Terms
Each devmubs Product is provided under a license, not sold outright as intellectual property. Unless a specific Product states otherwise in its own documentation, the WordPress/WooCommerce integration code in our Products is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPLv2+), consistent with WordPress core itself. This page explains what that means in practice, alongside the additional usage terms that apply to non-GPL assets bundled with a Product, such as premium artwork, demo content, or documentation.
Personal Usage
A single license entitles you to install and use the Product on the number of sites specified at the time of purchase (typically one production site, plus staging/development copies of that same site) for your own personal or single-business use.
Commercial Usage
You may use our Products on commercial WordPress sites, including stores that generate revenue through WooCommerce, without restriction beyond the license tier and site-count terms stated at purchase. Building and operating a business on top of our plugins and themes is exactly what they are designed for.
Developer Usage
If you are a developer or agency building sites for clients, you may install a licensed Product on a client's site as part of your work for that client, subject to the applicable license tier (for example, a multi-site or agency license, where offered). Client sites each require their own valid license unless the purchased tier explicitly covers multiple sites.
Source Code Ownership
devmubs retains ownership of the original source code, design, and non-GPL assets of each Product. A license grants you the right to use the Product under these terms — it does not transfer copyright, trademark, or other ownership rights in the underlying work to you.
Modification Rights
Consistent with the GPL, you may modify the GPL-licensed portions of a Product's code for your own use. We recommend making customizations through documented hooks and filters where possible, rather than editing core Product files directly, so your changes survive future updates. Modifications you make are your own responsibility and are outside the scope of standard support.
Redistribution Restrictions
You may not resell, redistribute, or share a devmubs Product (in original or modified form) as a standalone product, on a plugin/theme marketplace, or as part of a bundled offering, without our prior written permission — even though portions of the code are GPL-licensed, our trademarks, premium assets, and paid distribution rights are not. Providing a Product as part of contracted client work (where the client does not further redistribute it) is permitted under Developer Usage above.
Updates
A valid license entitles you to Product updates released during your update-eligibility period, as described in your Product's documentation. Updates may include new features, compatibility fixes, and security patches. We recommend staying on the update eligibility plan continuously to receive security fixes without interruption.
Support Eligibility
Access to support, as described in our Support Policy, requires a valid, active license for the Product in question. Use of a Product outside these license terms — including unauthorized redistribution — may result in suspension of support and update access as described in our Terms & Conditions.
